Nestled in the heart of Michigan’s Upper Peninsula, our family-run sugarbush combines generations of tradition with modern sustainability to produce premium goods. What started as a love for quality family time has grown into a passion for sharing pure, all-natural maple syrup with others. Today, we proudly continue our family’s hobby, blending time-honored techniques with innovative practices to bring you the finest maple goods, straight from our trees to your table.

At The Sweet Spigot, we believe food should be as simple and wholesome as its source. That’s why our maple goods have just one ingredient: purely tapped sap. In a world filled with processed sugars and endless additives, we’re proud to offer a product you can trust. We only tap mature trees and allow them to rest every other season, ensuring their health and longevity. Through our participation in Michigan’s Qualified Forest Program, we’re dedicated to preserving our forests for future generations.

When the temperatures are just right, the sap flows through the trees, out the taps, down the piplines and into the sugarshack. During this process, the sap is contained to maintain it's purity before transferring to our reverse osmosis. The sweet aroma of maple wafts through the room as the sap carefully thickens. Once it's boiled to perfection, we bottle in glass for optimal freshness, avoiding plastic usage. We love our trees and our environment, so we do what we can to protect them.
